Lila Downs is a Mexican/American singer-songwriter. Performing her own compositions as well as Mexican traditional and popular music she incorporates indigenous Mexican influences and has recorded songs in indigenous languages such as Mixtec, Zapotec, Maya, Nahuatl and P'urhépecha.
