Rivkala, meaning ‘to connect’, is an emerging Newcastle-based neo-soul vocalist, songwriter, bandleader and pianist. Raised in Manchester on jazz, funk, disco, psych rock, klezmer, and soul, her stage presence is full of melodrama, and her writing characterised by bass-driven grooves and socially poignant storytelling.
