Yasak Helva formed by 3 musicians, who have different musical backgrounds (funk, jazz, folk, death metal, grunge). The band named their music as “electric folk”. The band uses cümbüs (a Turkish fretless instrument, looks and sounds like a mix of oud and banjo), caglama (electric saz with guitar strings), bass and drums; while they build their music over Anatolia, Balkans.
