AVIJÉ was born in Tehran and spent her early years raised on Persian Classical Music, World Music and Jazz. Using female vocal masters, such as Ella Fitzgerald and Shirley Bassey as her mentors to shape her tone and vocal quality. Full of expression, her instrument tells a story alongside her meaningful lyrics. She uses her Persian, Jamaican and British heritage to explore sounds and experiment.
