London-based post-hardcore outfit Fightstar came to life in the mid-2000s when guitarist/vocalist Charlie Simpson was actually still in the pop trio Busted. As Fightstar quickly got more serious, Simpson had to choose so he ultimately left Busted. They began making a name for themselves, playing Reading & Leeds and releasing their debut EP in 2005.
