Moya Brennan, also known as Máire Brennan, is an Irish folk singer, songwriter, harpist, and philanthropist. She rose to international success with the Celtic group Clannad, formed in 1970. Widely recognised for popularising contemporary Celtic music by blending in elements of rock, jazz and new age. As a child, Brennan and her siblings would sing in their father's tavern.
