Halifax Minster is the Minster Church of St John the Baptist in Halifax, West Yorkshire. It was granted minster status in 2009 and stands on the site of an earlier Norman church. It houses the tombstone of 19th century diarist Anne Lister, famous for revelations for which she was dubbed 'the first modern lesbian'. In recent times, the church hosts regular worship, concerts and events.
