For his solo debut at Wigmore Hall, Julian has chosen Java Suite by Leopold Godowsky, a 50-minute 12-movement work inspired by Indonesian culture: gamelan, puppet shadow plays and the natural phenomena of Java. Written in 1925 and rarely performed in its entirety, this is an unmissable opportunity to hear one of Godowsky’s most daring and virtuosic scores.
