Mabes (aka Mabel Rogers), was chewed up and spat out by the music industry aged 17. She was made to sing songs she didn’t write and ultimately gave up, not releasing a single song. Mabes got a day job recruiting builders at a construction company, where she worked for 4 years, when an opportunity came to write songs in Nashville.
